I don't think Microsoft is at all interested in resolving this problem. It's
been a while and yet no solution. Meanwhile I have gone back to XP.

Thanks Tom. I guess I am becoming a bit impatient. I love Vista but because
of this quirk with FP, I had to go back to XP. I still have the Ultimate CD
and when this problem is resolved, I'll go back to Vista. I got tired of
adding links in code view.

I don't think they are really going to fix it. It should not take 5+
months for microsoft to fix this type of problem. It seems more
likely that they are just holding out in hopes that people will just
buy Expressions or whatever it is called.

Derek, I totally understand your frustration. "They are aware of it and are
working on it" has become quite old. To me, there are only two
possibilities - one, as you said, they want people to switch over to
Expression (more likely) or two, they are totally clueless as to what is
causing this problem. Five months and still they are working on it... I
don't believe it for a moment. I am not a MS basher but I am also not a
blind fanatic who is afraid of expressing his frustration when there is a
perfectly valid reason to be disappointed.

My prediction: It will never be fixed. I would love MS to prove me wrong.

You need to understand the issue is a Vista OS problem, that will probably require a patch or SP to Vista
(not a fix to FP)
- that is not a trivial issue to release, as an OS patch must be fully tested to all conditions in the OS

Stefan, I realize that it is an OS issue but that does not change the fact
that it can't be fixed or should take this long to fix this problem. Both
programs are owned by MS, or am I missing something?

I guess what you are saying is that instead of constantly venting on FP
forum, I will be better off if I took out my frustration on Vista forum.
Fair enough, but that yet does not absolve MS for this inordinate delay. I
wonder how long it would take to fix such problem if one of the programs was
not owned by MS. To me, FP is going the Image Composer way. Complete
abandonment! If Vista had somehow broken Dreamweaver, I am sure there would
have been a huge outcry and MS would be force to fix it in a matter of days;
not weeks or months. But why fix FP when Expression is already out there...

I promise I won't complain about it anymore on FP forum since this is such a
touchy issue for some folks.
