Visual Studio 2005

I am trying to re-install VS2005 Tools for the MS Office System and at each
installation attempt I get a message stating that Office 2003 Service Pack 1
must be installed.

Now I've tried this on multiple PC's all of which show the same error when
installing. The 1st PC had MS Office 2007 Professional installed as well as
MS Project/Frontpage/Visio 2003 (SP3) - VS2005 didn't install. So I removed
all of the Office products, rebooted, installed MS Office 2003 Basic and the
SP1 (which was downloaded from Microsoft's website) - VS2005 install still
threw the same error. Thought that it might be something to do with Windows
XP sp3 or the versions of .NET etc... So I tried the VS2005 install on
another PC, checked the Office type and SP level prior to install (MS Office
2003 Basic SP1) so I went ahead with the install, it still failed with the
same error being shown ! Tried this again on a 3rd PC and still the same
error appears.

All I can think about now as to the cause of this is that there may be an
update or similar that has been released and installed that is causing this
VS2005 not to install.
