I recently bought an iMac and a new OEM copy of XP Pro to load on it strictly
for my own use. Iloaded XP into a Boot Camp partition and it works fine.
Then I loaded VMFusion so that I can also run XP in a virtual machine. When
Fusion opened the XP window (from the XP installation on the Boot Camp
partition), XP started the activation dialog. It also informed me that I
need a new key since the OEM key was already used once. But I have not made
a second installation.

Any idea how to get around this?

Alas - even tho 'mac' is in the newsgroup name - it's the wrong place to
assume you'll get an answer. Ask yer question in a newsgroup that has
'windows' in its name.
