Hi all,

I used a transparent-background image for a command button by setting
it to the picture property
VFP shows the transparent background as white background.

VFP doesn't support transparent background image gif or png
actually ??

With regards,
Sithu

Hi Sithu,

VFP has to decompress the jpg / pngs to real bitmaps anyway, thus it's much
easier for VFP if you use native BMPs for pictures.

Sidenote: Since BMPs have no transparency channel embedded (like gif or
png), VFP uses the color "pure white" as transparency. To get pure white
displayed, you either create an acompaning MSK file (which is a 2-color BMP
in reality and holds the transparency information), or you just change the
white parts of your bmp to be one bit off of pure white.
