Does anyone have any insight to the cause of this error message. I
plagues me on a whim on certain machines when attempting to FOPEN a text
file.

Also, does MS tech support consider this a "FoxPro Bug" as mentioned in
their phone tech support definitions?

Thanks!

My colleague and I have finally found the cause of an Invalid Seek Access error
were were both experiencing while developing a large application in Visual
FoxPro 5.0 and later 5.0a. Weeks of testing finally narrowed the problem down
to when a Procedure File was called. Not any particulat routine in the
Procedure File, just the call to the file. The cause was Symantec's Norton
AntiVirus Version 2.0 for Windows 95. It's no use just disabling this utility,
you have to remove it. Now Symantect has come out with Version 2.01 of this
utility, and the problem is fixed.
