wireless network disconnecting

I have dsl (verizon) / dell laptop / windows vista. I set up a wireless
network with my internet service provider, verizon. The network can be found
by the laptop for a day or so and then it disappears or flashes on the sreen
and says the computer cannot connect to it. If you change the SSID of the
network it will hook up wirelessly for a day or so but then disappear again.
