I now have a computer running XP Home Edition. When I tried to
install FoxPro 2.6 for Windows on my XP machine (installing from
floppies), I started Setup.exe from the first floppy both by
double-clicking on it in Windows Explorer and by Start/Run/Setup.exe.
In both instances there was a brief appearance of an hourglass on the
screen, followed by nothing. When I ran the Windows Task Manager, it
did not show any application or process that I could identify as
having any connection with FoxPro or its installation.
Am I out of luck on this venture?

I agree with Josh, copy it from the Windows 98 box.
Also, if the processor speed is greater than 133 MHZ on the XP machine, you
need to apply this patch to after installing the FPW 2.6 on he machine.

I am running FoxPro 2.6 perfectly in Xp and 2000 but I have copied the
installation that I did in 98 or so on and put the directory on the path
variable.
Let me know if you get in some of these ways.....
