Do you think I could get emails say ( enquiries@my company) to go direct to
this program, & then somehow just like a server holds data, any of us can
access the new inbox on the server to pick the next email enquiry . then I
guess just like a server does for XL, word documents, etc “ when someone
alters it meaning does the quote then moves it to their new say ( completed
Quotes folder )then it is no longer there for someone else to accidentally
do again” as we so often find ourselves doing currently.. A bit like the
next available operator taking a ticket for the next job.
Do you have any clues on this
Thankyou in advance
Don
Try again, but this time look for a newsgroup with the name of the product
you're asking about in the name of the group.

besides of the tip of choosing the correct group to ask your questions, just
some little info for starters:
The SB-Server has already everything available what a company needs. What
you want to accompish is normally done with the "Exchange Server" part
(which is the brandname for Microsoft's email- and groupware hub). Here you
set up your personal email-slots, calendars and addressbooks for each of
you, as well as that "enquiries" groupfolder. Those groupfolders are called
"Public Folder" in MS speak, and can get accessed by all of you.
Thus filter the newsgroup list on "exchange" and repost your message there.
And you should either grab the documentation for SBS and read all about
Exchange and Public Folders, or better: you should look for some admin in
your area, who could setup that beast for you in his spare time. Just don't
think that you can manage SBS and especially Exchange by just getting some
advise from the newsgroups. Exchange is normally capable of running
tenthousands of mailboxes and therefor aimed at huge companies, which can
afford a dedicated adminsitrator knowing the in's and out's of running a
compannies IT.
Even though the SBS package provides a shell around all those server
components with a nicer interface and reduced settings, it's still the
mighty beast down in the machine room.
Long story short: Be aware that you will need to invest at least one or two
weeks of reading, testing and learning, before you know what you're doing ;)
