I have some windows XP on which the Web client does not load. SP3 is
installed on these computers. we have selected indows authentication and it
seems to be ng in a loop. It keeps askiing for user name and pw and it does
not load

These are settings we have on the server
Anonymous Authentication:Disabled
ASp. net impersonation:Disabled
Basic Authentication: Enabled
Forms Authentication: Disabled
Windows Authentication: Disabled

The web registration tool has server name followed by domain name.

Any ideas what could be causing this issue

What version of Forecaster is installed on the web server?

Are you using an Application Role in the database or a standard database role?

Is the Web Server the same machine as the database server or separate
machines? If separate, are they on the same domain?

OK, so that's fine. And you have basic authentication enabled, which is the
right thing to have.

Have you confirmed that these users can, in fact, connect via the full
client?
Are you using an application role or database role in the database?
What version of Forecaster and Forecaster Web Access are you using?

Can the Forecaster administrator successfully login via Web Access?
