Language-problem with Xp language pack

Hi, I've laptop from work and there´s XP with multilanguage-pack as operating
system. I´m using XP with Finnish menus and dialogs. Now IE 8 came to my
computer in english and after installation it wors fine. But I want keep this
computer as finnish language settings so I uninstalled english version. I
have downloaded Finnish version (Microsoft web-page recommented Finnish
version when I came to loading page). But when I start installation, Theres
only note in box "this language is not supported" and installation end. I´ve
administration rights to this laptop.

How can I get Finnish version installed? Our own helpdesk can´t help yet,
they said only that "I must use only IE7, We wont take IE8 to standard users
at all".
