Is it safe to uninstall Expression Web 1 after upgreade to Expression Web 3?

Yes it is safe, but you don't have to. You may find that some things are
better in EW1 than in EW3 - the addin in your other post, for example.

I have all three versions of EW installed, as some of the addons I use, will
not work in the other versions. This way when I need/want to use a specific
addon, I can fire up the verion of EW I need.

NOOOO! Don't do it.

Only kidding. They install side by side and the uninstall does not
remove anything the newer versions need. On the other hand, as both Ron
and Patricia have mentioned, it is an unnecessary step.
