EW3 Defective DVD

I just received my DVD from Amazon. Windows Explorer opens and shows
me the 4 files on the DVD but the computer locks when it tries to read
Setup.exe. How can I get the DVD replaced? Or can I download the
free trial and use this Product Key?

You can use the downloaded trial and activate using the key provided with
the dvd. Make sure that you also download and install Expression Design 3 &
Expression Encoder 3 since your key will also activate those programs.

Before you do anything, have you checked that you have the correct
amount of RAM in your system (you need at least 1 GB). I had the same
very problem when I wanted to install the trial version on my 512 MB
machine and it locked and you don't get anything messages on the screen
about system requirements etc. When I tried the same download on my
home desktop which has 2 GB ram, it installed quickly and it was running
fine. The trial period has expired so I can't use it anymore but in any
case I won't be buying it because I don't like it at all. I will stay
with EW2 for the time being because I like its CSS stuff. I do all the
coding manually but use EW2 to get my CSS attributes. Most of the time
I am working in CODE view anyway so that I can manually change the html
stuff.
