Hi,
I have not yet mastered the DWT concept and have been using tables to paste
text into a web page w/o using the DWT layout concept. I thought that when I
deleted the table row, the style associated with that row, cell, etc would
also be deleted but not so. Therefore, I have around 1,000 style descriptions
in the head section of the web page.

Is there a cleanup tool or some other easy to remove these extra styles? Any
help will be greatly appreciated.

Run the CSS Report on the TOOLS menu.
It will tell what styles is un-used. It also tells you
the line nummer in which it is. Then you can delete
them.

dwt are not the layout ... your divs or tables are (though as you know
tables should be used for data not layout)

Instead of having all your styles on each page .... put them into a style
sheet and link to each page.

Less load on each page.. and you only have one page to edit when you want to
change something.

When you do go for a dwt.... consider doing that .. and perhaps making a new
template that works well...

If you wanted to clean a whole page of its formatting and styles btw .. you
would use the clear styles in apply styles task pane first selecting the
page.... and also under the format menu - remove formatting..
