Resample function - disappeared from right-click.

When I resize a photo or image, I always resample to reduce the size of the
image, plus it smoothens the image. It disappeared. I've installed SP1,
but that didn't change it. Perhaps I changed a setting somewhere, but I
can't find it.

Any ideas ... I want this feature back.

The resample option is still on the right click menu when an image is
selected (Expression Web 3 SP1). There are no settings that I know of that
hide this option.
With the image selected, the options available are:

Cut, Copy, Paste
Reset Size
Resample
Autothumbnail
Change picture file type
Manage editable regions
Manage Ms ASP.net content regions
Picture Properties
Page properties
Hyperlink

In my opinion Irfanview does a better job when resizing images than EW (but
I use EW for images that "rough and ready").

I don't have that at all. I've reinsert numerous times. It works in
FrontPage. This features works well for me. I have graphic software where
export to a png, then intentionally downsize ... resample and it smoothens
out nicely. You only want to do this one. If I need to resize, I re-export
and do the same thing again. I'm uninstall and reinstall. Something really
is a-miss. It's giving me a combined rightclick. It can't decide if I'm
working with an image or a table. My choices are:
Cut, Copy Pate
Open With -->
Auto Thumbnail
change Picture File Type
Delete -->
Select -->
Modify -->
Move Split
Manage Editable Regions
Picture Properties
Cell Properties
Table Properties
Page Properties
Hyperlink

Yes, I'm still working with tables (now working w/ CSS ... but haven't
completely transitioned). There's no hyperlink with the image. None of the
options make any sense to me. It's like a catch-all righclick menu.

If you think of something, let me know ... in case a reinstall doesn't work.
Again ... this happened before sp1.

If I place an image in a table cell, select the image and right click, the
context menu is as you say.
If I then resize the image by dragging the corner, and then right click, the
context menu adds Reset Size and Resample.
Resample only appears if you change the image within Expression Web.

First (left) click on the image to select it, then (right) click on the
image to bring up the image context menu. The resample option is there, as
it should be as Ron has stated.

I think you're right clicking and getting the *table* options not the
*image* options.

As Ron says, resample is only available if you've changed the image -
resizing it in Design View, or changing the width and height in Code View
will both cause Resample to appear.

Thank you.
All of what all of you say is true. However ... no matter how many times I
resize (within EW), I do "not" get the "resample" option. I was getting the
option before ... always have. If I repeat the steps in FrontPage ...
resample is an option --- it couldn't be easier.

I tried moving the image to another location ... resize it (still in EW)
still no option to resample. I know it's simple, I use the feature every
time I insert an image (unless I insert a simpler gif ... perfectly sized).
For whatever reason, this option disappeared. I'm about to reinstall EW#
(as I suggested I would, earlier) to see if it helps. I can't force that
option to show ... no matter what. Something's a-miss.

I just did a clean install of Windows 7 (getting my software re-installed).
I just ran EW3 and "resample" is back. I know not - what went a-miss ...
but it sure disappeared.

I did nothing different to make it show (other than the software rebuild
from "scratch"). I just thought I'd let you know how it played out.
