I need to have a search page for one of my sites that is password protected.
With FP 2003 I used to use FrontLook Site Search, but it doesn't work with
Expressions Web (and no longer works on my computer with FP either!)
I am using PicoSearch free version at present. But I'd prefer something that
doesn't have advertising. (My client doesn't want to pay ~$300 per year for
the ad-free version.)
Can anyone recommend a product that will search my pages on my hosting
server? I can't do ASP programming so it would have to be a "package" of
some kind.
Thanks!

If you're hosting on an Apache/UNIX server, check the web masters CPanel, there is usually a built in search
that you just need to configure.

I also use FrontLook Site Search on a couple of my sites and it works fine
in Expression Web 1 on a Windows Vista Machine. I regularly use EW3 but have
all versions installed for just that reason - the addons I use work in
various versions so I swithch around. I use the php version of FrontLook.
While it has not been updated in quite some time, it does the job and no
advertisments.
