how to import bup files to windows movie maker

My uncle took our wedding video and sent it to us on disk. I want to import
it to Windows Movie maker to edit it as it is just the raw footage. However
Windows Movie maker says that it doesn't support this type of file....what
should I do?

Hello,
you should ask your uncle what codec was used for creating the video.
You don't have probably installed it on your PC.
