Files not importing in existing catalog

I'm trying to import new files in an existing catalog (about 2600 items,
low-res, the catalog file is only 20.8 mb). Drag-and-drop or File -> Import
doesn't work, but if I create a new catalog with the files and then import
the catalog, it works fine. Anyone has an idea ? I'm quite lost…

Hi -- I am encountering exactly the same symptoms with a big catalog (30 000
items), could you please explain how you have solved your issue ?
