So MS is discontinuing their Expression suite

Anyone know what would it take to get them to open source it?

Robert was thinking very hard :
and they will not wish it to become public domain while Visual Studio is still being retailed.

A few million dollars - a lot of the code is already in VS10 and VS12, and more will be moved into Visual Studio in the next few updates of that program. So the code is still being used by Microsoft,
