Recover damaged exchange database?

Hello
before i had a domain controller and an exchange istalled
on one server, and they were working fine, then i had a
problem on my server and the mailboxes became unmounted
(with a red arrow on the icon in the microsoft exchange
console) and the M drive disappeared; i've tried
everything in the support bulletins talking about the
mounting, and nothing worked.
Then i backed up the database (MDBDATA folder...)on the
other drive and i installed the exchange again and it
worked (Like new installation).
Is there any possibility to recover my old emails from the
old database , i mean any utility - tool or any thing ?????

>Do you have a backup on tape? Have you dismounted the
stores and copied the original data files into the new
directories, then remount the store? If you restore from
tape you will first need to Start the Exchange System
Manager.
Expand Servers, expand Server Name, expand Storage Group,
and then click the database that was restored.
Right-click the database, and then click Properties.
Click the Database tab.
Click to select the This database can be overwritten by a
restore check box.
Click OK.
To mount the database, right-click the database, and then
click Mount Store.

i don't have a backup on a tape the only thing i could
do is to copy the exchange directory on the other drive ,
i mean the mdbdata directory.
i've tried before with the old database what you told me
about mounting , it gave me errors all the time.
you Know that the messages are stored in the Log files
directory.i have this directory on drive D on my server.
is there any possibility to recover emails from this
directory
