We can connect to our OWA server internally using:
http://mail7/exchange/userid

but trying to connect to
http://mail7.ids.ac.uk/exchange/userid also internally
fails with 'No web site is configured at this address'.

We have only the default installation Exchange virtual
server installed and have not as yet changed any
parameters in the IIS snapin.

Thanks for any help on this

David

Do you have mail7.ids.ac.uk configured as a host name on public DNS. What
happens if you try http://IPADDRESS/exchange/userid

Yes we do have that address on public dns.

http://ipaddress/exchange/userid also gets same message.
So the client is definately talking to the server and being
told to go away. Is it an ISS virtual server issue?

You do have port 80 open on your firewall, right? And a one-to-one NAT if
you use NAT?

Sorry if i'm not being clear. An internal trusted client
on our network cannot connect using
http://ipaddress/exchange/userid

So no issues re firewalls, dns etc.

Any ideas?

Thanks
