IHello,
I need to be able to send email with a Certificate of Authority
between my Exchange 2000 clients and a Groupwise clients. My plan was to
install Key management service on my Exchange 2000, which I have done. I
already have a Root Certificate server setup on the same Exchange 2000
server. Is this the route I should take or can this been done another way?If
this is the correct way, when I try to start the Key Management Service I get
the following error 'could not start the key managemnet Service service on
the local machine. I get an event id: 5057 ' Invalid password' but I'm using
the password that KMS made when installed.Service give this error 'This could
be an internal windows error or a internal service error.' , do you have any
ideals on how to fix this error.
The one thing I notice is that after installing the Key Management
service from the original Exchange 2000 cd that it did not ask me to reboot
server or reinstall any of the service patches for exchange, which normal
happens after using a original cd. Should I reinstall the SP and if so which
ones. I have SP3 exchange, Exchange2000-KB870540-v2-x86-ENU.exe and
Exchange2000-KB890066-x86-ENU.exe installed, if I need to reinstall the
patches in what order and which ones should I reinstall?
