Help to design and migrate from Lotus R6.5.x to Exchange 2003

Hi,

I am in the process to produce a blueprint and a strategy to migrate from
Lotus Notes r6.5.4 to Exchange 2003.
Unfortunately, we support this in-house only.

I have read some templates from Microsoft but I find it confusing and
long-winded. Can anyone help with a simple design about the required
components and explanation? And whether our test enviroment (in another AD
domain) can be converted to a production AD domain. Co-existence is needed
until full migration completes.

Current Domino setup -
1)- a bridgehead Domino SMTP server that relays to our
PostFix mail relay to the Internet
also provides internal gateway for Intra organisation
email exchanges with our branch offices
- for BCP, also, relays Internet email to another mail
relay in Europe during problem in primary link
2)- item (1) feeds a user home mail server in each of the
three countries.
3)- Each home mail server has about 150 users
4) One BlackBerry Enterprise server for Domino
5) We already have a AD domain
