Hello,

We're wanting to move over exchange mailboxes from one of our subsiduary's
servers. They are using Windows SBS 2000 and we're using Windows Server
2003. First of all can this be done? Second what is the recommended way to
do this? Please provide all steps. Also, will the ExMerge utility work for
SBS 2000(source) to Server 2003(destination)?

And Exchange 2003?

Not directly, no, but via exmerge or manual PST export, yes.

I can't post all the steps for exmerge, but you can very easily look them
up.

Yes, provided the mailboxes in Exchange 2k are smaller than 2GB. If they are
larger, you'll need to manually export to PST in Outlook, then open the PST
fles in Outlook in your new organization & select/copy the items into the
corresponding mailbox folders. It's not recommended to use Outlook to
*import* data from a PST file.
