Hi NG,

I have the problem, that my Antigen 9.0 with ASM installation does not work correctly.
2Node Cluster W2k3 SP1 with Exchange 2003 SP2

After installing the antigen, everything is fine (Services were started and so on) except I don't see the SMTP Engine in the Antigen Adminstrator. So I am unable to configure Antigen.

In the eventlog I can see the following event:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: AntigenSmtpSink
Event Category: Server/IMC Error
Event ID: 4007
Date:  01.03.2007
Time:  21:21:38
User:  N/A
Computer: Node1
Description:
Internal error 3-8, method returned 0x8000ffff.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

It makes no difference if the resources are on node 1 or 2. The services are started, but I am not able to configure Antigen.

I have already tried to install Antigen about 5 times and everytime the same.

I have installed Antigen on the active node, without switching I installed Antigen on the inactive node and rebooted both servers.

They came up and the services are booted and so on...

Do I make anything wrong ? Is there something I forgot or is there a way to register the event sink manually afterwards ?

Thanks and regards

Torsten

Thanks guys,

I solved the problem by myself.

I installed the Antigen 8.0 and updated to Anigen 9.0. With Antigen 8.0 it was no problem with the smtp-sink so I tried this way.

The problem has gone and the server works correctly again.

Thanks

Torsten
