Hey Guys,

I have been trying to work with LDAP but havent had any success.
I already know LDAP is part of W2K and not E2K. My problem is
accessing the GAL using LDAP. Here are the errors I receive when
accessing LDAP.

If I try ldap://mydc.com I get the "Find People" dialog box. I type in
an existing user's first name and I get the following error: "The
specified directory service could not be reached. The service may be
temporarily unavailable or the server name may be incorrect."

I also set up an LDAP server in OE and when I try and compose an email
if I go to the "To:" box and click on "Find" I get the "Find People"
dialog box. I choose the "DC.domain.com" and type in the user name I
get the following error: "There are no entries in the directory
service that match your search criteria"

Also in O2K I set up the Ldap server in the "Tools:Services" tab. But
when I go to compose a new email and I click "To:" then go to the drop
down list and select the LDAP server it is blank.

I checked the AD using ADSIEdit.exe, and saw in the user properties
the value for ShowInAddressBook was filled in.

Everything else works fine in exchange, so I dont know where else to
go with this. Microsoft is real vague when it comes to onlien support
of LDAP. I hope you guys can be of help!

Thanks,

Joel Perez
