Platform: Exchange 2003 sp1/Office2003 Ad2003

All,

I have 30 conference rooms that do not publish more than two months of their
calander. I have logged into each one of them and set their free/busy
options to 12 months and they do change to 12 months, but they then return
back to 2 months after a short while.

I also have about 8 users that are "Conference Room Admins" that have full
access to them and I have requested that they change their free/busy time to
12 months. Which they did. This did not make a difference.

I also use www.swinc.com's ERM (exchange resource manager) to manage the
rooms and there is no option to extend the free/busy times in that software.

Any ideas would be helpful.

If you're not using the Auto-Accept Agent you'll need to login to each
resource mailbox using Outlook, then go to Tools | Options | Calendar
Options | Free/Busy Options and raise it to 12 months.

A guess - is there a gpo dictating the free/busy option?

There is and we applied it to the people that have access to these mailboxes
and it did not make a difference.

Since we use Swinc.com ERM, our system uses CDO on the server which defaults
to 3 months.

The following registry entry controls the amount of free/busy information
published:

Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\EXCDO\Parameters
Name: FBPublishMonth
Type: DWORD
Value: 1 - 36

Default value = 3

Thanks for your help. This information was given to me by www.swinc.com.
They are really good!!
