Hello,

I'm the exchange admin for my company, but need to be able to allow others
to create/modify SMTP addresses. I created a security group in A/D and
delegated that group as "Exchange Administrator" in ESM...not for the whole
org, but just the administrative group (not sure if that makes a difference
here).

Whenever a member of that group tried to modify an SMTP addresses or create
a contact and try to add the SMTP address name they get an error. The error
message is "An Exchange Server could not be found in the domain. Check if
the Microsoft System Attendant service is running...."

Obviously, it's a permissions issue since I'm able to do this, but I'm just
not sure what permissions to give. I know I don't want to give full exchange
admin rights. Can someone please help me out with this? Thanks much!

You can add the administrator to the Local Administrators group on the
Exchange Server, or you can back out the rights to the way they were before
SP1.
