setup /PrepareAD error Organization Preparation FAILED

in a single domain after running setup /PrepareAD I got the following error
below. I haven't run any of the prepare switched before assuming this one
should do them all...
I had a look in adsiedit.msc, but can't even see Deleted Objects!?
the account I used is domain admin, enterprise admin as well as schema
admin...
any idea how to fix this?

It appears to me that the account you're using isn't a member of Schema
Admins.

it was actually - I re-run the process later-on and it complete fine, but
this time I used connection to console via IP KVM and plus replication would
have completed by the time I tried again
