Microsoft Internet Mail Connector will not start.

I am currently using microsoft windows nt ver 4 server with microsoft
exchange server. I would like to connect using a 28.8 modem on a dedicated
line to my ISP. I have installed IMC but it will not start. Does anybody
have a ideas?

Take a look at Q148727, Q151775 and Q154589.

In addition to these tips I found that when using RAS I sometimes had
to be connected to the internet when starting the service. This is
probably due to the service using the DNS when starting. Using
numbered dot-addresses to your mail-servers might reduce this problem
though I haven't tried it yet myself.
