Hi Folks,
Our Exchange 5.5 is getting dangerously low on disk space when we start
Internet Mail Service. One of the thing a found out that a folder named
ARCHIVE (in Exchsrvr\Imcdata\In or Exchsrvr\Imcdata\Out) is taking up at
least 3 GB. How do you disable the achiving option of it?

There is a diagnostics logging tab in the IMS properties page. You can set
them all to none if you'd like.

You can delete the files in those folders as well, as explained in the FAQ,
section 3.27,8,9
http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq_sec3.htm

IMS>Diagnostics logging. Set message archival to None.
Stop and start service. Delete the files in those
directories.
