Offline Address Book problem

Need help, I think i know the problem not the trick to fix it.
It started like this we upgraded from exchange 2000 to exchange 2003. (On
two different computers) All went fine, mail boxex were moved to new server,
Users are able to send/ recieve mails from the new server. We did public
folder replication and thought all is finished. Exchange 2000 was removed as
per the instructions. Then we started noticing that users are unable to
download offline address book. (Task ' Microsoft Exchange server' reported
error (0x8004010F) : The operation failed. An object could not be found"
On further investigating we found that exchange 2003 server is logging 9331,
9335 events related to OAL Gen .. 800004005 source ExchangeSA
When we try to rebuild Offline address book through ESM we get "there are no
bindings, Facility Win32, ID. No: CC00706b6, Exchange system manager"
Now I am sure that all this is related to Offline address book which was
unfortunatly not replicated fully before we removed the exchange 2000 server.
As we were trying different setting on system folder (offline address book)
just to check/ resolve the issue
Since yesterday we are getting another event being logged in application log
and that is "Unable to create public folder proxy object for folder OAB
Version 3a in the active directory" event id is 9543 and source is ExchangeIS
Would appreciate if anybody could help. Please note we have only exchage
2003 server now in the domain. (windows 2003 domian)

We did mounting/ dismounting as per your blog document but it did not work.
Also we did enable diagnosting loggig MSExchangeIS and now following is also
being loggeg into our event log. which I suppose is related to the OAB
Version 3a error I mentioned in my first mail.
