Does exchange sync support categories?

Just successfully set up Google contacts exchange accounts for my
windows mobile 2003se device and my partner's iTouch and find that
while everything else syncs ok, categories that exist in Google contacts
are not syncing to either device, so, wonder if this is an MS exchange
limit?

Hmm - am confused as to how Exchange fits in here. Google doesn't use
ActiveSync. You're syncing directly to the handheld via Google's
software, not using Activesync at all. So I'd suggest you check with
Google support.

Google is currently using MS exchange to sync google contacts, google
calendar and gmail... and they are offering it free for most mobile
platforms.

This has huge potential for windows mobile users as it will _free_ them
from the bonds of activesync and wmdc.

I have two accounts set up both to test and support my partner and, for
the most part, it syncs using the exchange server option in the windows
mobile device activesync options.

From what I have seen and know so far, the exchange exchange sync
questions will be far better handled here than via google... that, plus
I am trying to arm myself with valid info to feed back to google... such
as this issue of turning on categories sync.

fwiw, the other notable issue is that their exchange settings (I assume)
are scrubbing everything out of the notes field except plain text... and
that includes any hyperlinks stored in that field.

I _think_ the answer to my question is that exchange does have the
ability to sync categories.
