Everything works on the exchange side(OWA, OMA). I can even see the security
audit logs being successful from the iphone. But I can't manage the phone to
sync the mailbox. This is the error I receive in the application log:

Event Type: Error

Event Source: Server ActiveSync

Event Category: None

Event ID: 3005

Date: 1/27/2010

Time: 6:31:26 PM

User: domain\user

Computer: server

Description:

Unexpected Exchange mailbox Server error: Server: [serverdomain.com] User:
[us...@domain.com] HTTP status code: [500]. Verify that the Exchange mailbox
Server is working correctly.

Looks like you have done your homework and you are beyond me as I don't
have a personal exchange server to tinker with.

One suggestion I would make would be to see if it's possible to set up
an MSExchange sync with google calendar or contacts (you will need a
google account) Steps and tips at http://bevhoward.com/GoogleSync.htm

If syncing with Google is successful, I would then suspect that there is
something in the exchange server settings at play... you might also look
on the iphone support side for more info. I'm noting that the activity
level here is almost zero.
