Hi.

We are running Exchange 2003 and have a user that has his mail forward to a
verizon.net account. If I send from any account except our native domain the
mail forwards to verizon.net through our server. However, if the email is
from someone in our domain it sits in the smtp queue and the event viewer
reports " DCOM 10009, DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer
sc013pub.verizon.net using any of the configured protocols."
I have looked up DCOM errors and checked permissions all is fine. This
problem just began last week, and no changes have been made.

Help!

I think this is Verizon.
Right now, since 9th December, Verizon's SMTP servers are timing out for
all email from Europe (possibly further). It is a scandal. Hopefully US
Business subscribers will start a class action suite over their missing
mail.

Go to Google, search on "relay.verizon.net" (double quotes necessary), click
on Groups, click on "sort by date" in top-right corner and look at recent
entries not from newsgroup news.admin.net-abuse.sightings as confirmation.
