Here is my situation. We are a very small company at has been allowed to use one of our partners email systems for the last few years. They have about 1500 employees compared to our 70. They own and run the email system and they have allowed us to use it. Now the time has come for my company to deploy our own email system. We have a 2003 domain and will be deploying exchange 2003. The email system we will be moving from is GroupWise 6.5. Sinse I don't have Admin access to our partner's Groupwise email system can anyone suggest a way to import each users Archived Groupwise emails and also import their groupwise address books. I understand there are tools built into exchange for migrating servers but this would need to be done on a per user bais. Alot of work I know but that is the situation I find myself in. Basically, is there a way to have each users Archive the emails they want from their Groupwise accounts to their local computers and then migrate then to their Exchange mail box. I also am looking to do the same thing with their address books. Migrating their calendar is not important. I am hoping there is a free tool out there to do this but I am assuming it will require a Third Party tool. Any Help would be really appreciated. thanks

I have not tried these products, but I have heard that http://www.wingra.com has good Groupwise migration products. They have an groupwise to outlook migrator and a groupwise to exchange migrator. I would assume with either, you could get it to exchange.

I had a similar migration several years ago, and with both Outlook and Exchange installed, I was able to move the messages into Outlook and save them in .pst files. Outlook was able to get into GroupWise via MAPI and get the mail messages.

Perform migration of mailboxes from GroupWise to MS Exchange Server. This software allows single and multiple mailbox migration where users can save the migrated items to orphan .PST files or direct to MS Exchange Server user mailboxes.
