Hello,

I have a problem where if i send a message thru our exchange server using an
anonymous account (such as using telnet exchangeserver 25) the message that
gets delivered is converted into HTML by exchange. The recipient however is
using a Plain Text only Mail client, therefore it attaches the HTML file and
the body is blank.

If i send the same message via an Exchange Mailbox it comes thru fine, it's
only when your sending it via telnet or other 3rd party apps that don't use
an exchange mailbox.

Any thoughts of how to fix this so the messages arrives in plain text and
dosn't get converted?

This KB describes how to configure sending formats for outbound SMTP mail:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821750

However, I don't know of any way to tell Exchange to convert inbound mail.
Are you sure that you don't have anything between the Internet and Exchange
making this conversion?

I am pretty sure there isn't anything, it actually internally only

Server 2003 Machine running Track-IT!9 Software sends message to Exchange
Server, Exchane Server forwards message to our older Mail System

We have seen this article before and while these changes made blackberry's
work better with our older system it didn't fix the problem
