Hi all,

Is there someone who can explain to me how the heel i'm supposed to get
addresses into addresbooks in the exchange server. I have got a huge list of
addresses here that are divided into general sales and byuing department and
each department has it's own addresses.
By creating diffrent addressbookviews the object is to let certain people
address certain books and some all of them. Also the users should be able to
update information on the addresses like, pay's well, has a lot in stock or
whetever.

I have read the sbs installguide and also bought Running sbs server.
Noewhere is there any mentioning on this .

I'm fed up with buying books and don't like to pay 200 US$ for support per
incident just to get the damn thing running normal.

Could someone please help me out here ??

Thanx

I hope you're using Outlook on the clients. If so, then use Public Folders
to hold these addresses. Each folder can have a different set of permissions
so the departments can update their own information.

Hi Sue,

I thought it would come down to that. I will set up a few personal folders
on the server and link them via the mentioned folders. Weird though that
nowhere there is to be found the OL97 verison of the shared folders....at
least I couldn't find it.

Oh and euhm, can we switch to Outlook 98 or do we need new licenses then ?
We have got Office 97 licensed.

Futhermore, maybe you can tell me why Small biz server won't install any
faxmodem. It keeps exiting with errorcodes like Cannot create faxprinter and
alike. also other weird errors have been seen about entrypoints that aren't
available in winfax.dll ??

Help me out here please !!

1. Yes. Your Exchange CALs work with Outlook 98. You can install with the
copy on the Exchange 5.5 SP1 CD.
2. Ask in the SBS newsgroups.
