My boss wants me to be able to send mail as him. (I know gutsy guy:-) I
grant myself send as permissions on his mail box. Not just send on behalf
of. The problem is that when I open outlook and his mail box and try to send
as him. I can't modify the from field. I have added his mail box to my
outlook profile and I can open it fine. I highlight his inbox and I compose
a message but it comes from me. Any one have any ideas on how to do this. Am
I setting up exchange right.

thanks, Alan

Alan,

Create a new mail message. In the message, click on View menu item, then
"From Field"

Just entering in the "From" field will send "on behalf of." If you want to
send as the boss, you'll have to log into the exchange server as the boss.
This means that if you're running Win 95 or NT on the desktop, you'd have to
log into the network as the boss.

Norm,

Uh, nope...I do this all the time. As long as you have either a User or
Send As role for the mailbox, you can select that name for "From:"
