I think you should try again. What happens when you try to connect to
the MS Mail PO share?

Not even by using a "net use * \\server\msmail"? If you can't access
the share then your problem is not with the client software.
What error do you get with the NET USE commend? Error 5 (Access
denied)? Error 67 (Unknown network name)? Error 53 (Unknown network
path)?
Your problem lies with the share name offerd by the server and your
network credentials. This really isn't an Exchange problem.
