Hi group,
I get question from our client, maybe itļæ½s a bit strange, but I have to
answer...

Letļæ½s say there is domain aaa.com. There is AD domain bbb.aaa.com
All users are in the bbb.aaa.com domain. Email address for all users is
us...@aaa.com. Exchange server is 2000 SP3

Some users works in remote locations for related companies (these users are
in bbb.aaa.com domain and their email address is us...@aaa.com).
Is it possible for these users to have us...@aaa.com email address, but do
not to use Exchange server at main office and have their own mail server
solution or use some providers mail system (not Exchange)?

I think Exchange Server in main office should work as main mail server
(smart host). But how it can determine where to route mail for these remote
users?

Thank You,
Mindaugas

You could create a mail-enabled contact for the user that directs address
us...@aaa.com to user@foreign_mail_system.com.
