How to remove Dirsync Server

We are having significant problems with using Exchange as the Dir-Sync
Server in our mixed MS-Mail/Exchange environment. We need to remove
the Dir-Sync Object and reinstall it. I have found the MS Support
Online/KBase article Q180434 and I am OK with the steps to remove the
Dir-Sync Object from Exchange.

Please can someone explain how we remove the Dir-sync information from
the MS-Mail Post offices?

I don't understand step 3. - it seems to switch back to
removing/amending files on the exchange server rather than the MS-Mail
PostOffice.
