If you telnet to your exchange server's port 25 and initiate a SMTP =
session manually and follow the steps below you will see that your =
return path gets rewritten.
Telnet to exchange server, port 25
helo testing.test.com
mail from:<tes...@testing.test.com>
rcpt to:<your email address@yourdomain>
data
Subject:Testing Mail headers
From:LastName, Firstname<your email address@yourdomain>
this is a test to see what will happen to the from field.

quit
When this message arrives in your inbox the from will read "lastname" =
and nothing else. As an aside, my firewall will do the same thing but =
it will apend my domain onto the line.
Let me know what you all think and find out.
