We have acquired a company and wish to migrate their mailboxes onto our
single Exchange 2007 server while retaining their existing 3rd party
mail-archiving provider. Our company already has a 3rd party mail-archiving
provider so our Internet Mail Connector is configured to send all outbound
mail to that provider's servers. Is it possible to configure a connector so
that any mail sent outside of the Exchange organisation by
us...@acquiredcompany.com is routed to their mail archiving provider and that
any mail sent by us...@parentcompany.com is routed to our provider?
I've looked at the available configuration options on the SMTP Send
connector and Hub Transport rules and it doesn't seem that this can be
achived though the UI if at all?

Hi,

you can a SMTP Connector and block the recipent / domain so.. only the users
the certian the condition of the block will use this connector as design,
after that the * connector takes use.

understood?

Hi,

this tool does exactly what you need: MultiSendcon (http://www.servolutions.com/multisendcon.htm). MultiSendcon allows you to choose the smtp relay / smarthost based on the sender or sender domain.
