X.400 connector to different orgs

I need to connect two company sites together to replicate directory data.
Can the organization be different between the two or do they have to be
members of the same organization?

They need to be same Organisation for replication to work. There is an
unsupported utility to achieve cross Org replication available from
Microsoft.

Afraid not. There's an Interorg Direcotory *Synchronization* tool
available in the 2nd release of the Back Office Resource Kit. It will
perform roughly the same task as the MS Mail DirSync -- synchronize
the Mailbox (and, I think, Distribution List and Custom Recipients)
addresses between two (or more) organizations. But it will NOT
replicate any directory objects between organization.
