The question's a little too general but my solution when using sendmail on
solaris was to have an entry in the aliases table eg username@exchangeserver
and then adding that as an SMTP address within the exchange user as well.
hope that helps,
Simon

You can have Sendmail forward all outgoing mail to the Exchange server. The
IMS must have the routing tab set to redirect all domains other than the one
for Exchange.
You cannot replace the Sendmail server completely. UNIX as a file-based
system, not client/server.

If email is already working on the unix box, not much of a problem. Make
sure there is ip connectivity between the two machines, add the ip address
of the exchange server in the host file of the unix machine, add an internet
connector to the exchange machine, add the ip address of the unix machine in
the host file of the unix machine, and send mail. Not a problem.
