Hello Guys,
i become crazy setting up an environnement with Exchange 2007 SP2 cas/hub :
let me explain :
we want our user who try to access http://mail.contoso.com or
https://mail.contoso.com being redirect to the /owa directory.
We followed the explications provided on some web sites (and on MS technet)
by using a html file on the inetpub directory and by using the custom errors
codes 403.4 .
Once this configuration is done we get the good answer from the web farm but
just once...
all the test done after gave us a forbiden access.

how can we explain this result.
The only way we have found for our configuration to work is to remove on the
default web site the SSL requirements and to use a javascript who listen on
request on both ports 80 and 443 to redirect users to the /owa.

All of our servers are exchange 2007 SP2.

Thansk for your ideas.

Laurent

What you're doing sounds correct, but you didn't share what version of
Windows (and therefore IIS) you're running. And you didn't tell us exactly
how you set things up, so we can't tell you whether you made any mistakes.
You also didn't share whether you are running any kind of reverse proxy like
ISA.

Hello,
windows 2003 SP2 (up to date) and IIS 6 is used for our exchange 2007 SP2
servers
i followed this link
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998359.aspx

the strange thing : the forbiden error we received is provided by IIS : we
can see information in log files that a 403 4 5 is returned
but in internet explorer the error is forbiden access.

I've set this up in Windows 2008 a few times but I don't believe I've ever
configured it in Windows 2003.
