<ncou...@alphaschoolcpl.org>:
Sorry. Although I'm listed as a best-preference MX or A for that host,
it isn't in my control/locals file, so I don't treat it as local.
(#5.4.6)
How do I get this fixed? thanks
Your DNS has problems....
http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=alphaschoolcpl.org
....your MX record specifies a CNAME (this isn't allowed....it needs to be
an A record)
....the CNAME of mail.alphaschoolcpl.org (which points at
server.alphaschoolcpl.org) has an IP address of 0.0.0.0.
So - get rid of the CNAME for mail ....create it as an A record, with the
correct public IP (whatever you use on the external interface for your
firewall, and has traffic on port 25 forwarded inbound to your Exchange
server's LAN IP).
Then, you will also need to call whomever provides your internet
connectivity and get them to create a PTR (reverse lookup entry in DNS) for
your public IP.
