Exchange for Internet Mail

Hi, sorry about not being an expert, but can anyone help.

I want to use exchange to send and recieve E-mail from my local ISP.
I know that my ISP is not using Exchange as a server.

I can to this currently with winproxy, and was wondering if the same can be
done on Exchange.

If so, are there any "HOW TO"s which can help in setting this up.
