I have an Exchange server already setup. Our mail hosting is already through
another company. However, I am trying to setup IMS so that we can host our
own mail. I am trying to test it first before I change the DNS MX record. I
understand that I cannot send a message to myself from the outside as it
will go to the existing mail server according the the DNS record. But
shouldn't I be able to send to outside addresses through our Exchange server
and it find the correct mail server for the intended address? I think so,
but I may be wrong.

I have attempted to send mail out and I get the following message :

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: Another test...
Sent: 9/24/98 11:10 AM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

aem...@tidalwave.net on 9/24/98 11:12 AM
Unable to deliver the message due to a recipient problem

aem...@tidalwave.net is my personal address at home, not my work address.
If I send one internally, it works. Is there some setting that I am
overlooking that does not allow my emails to go outside of the network?
