Is it necessary to defrag a Continuous Failover Cluster running on Server
2008? And what is the process? Installations of Server 2008 by default
schedule weekly defragging but I don't see this on a failover cluster? Where
can I find step-by-step instructions?

Thanks.

Online defragmentation happens during the scheduled store maintenance
period, which applies to clustered servers, CCR and SCC, as well as
unclustered servers. Offline defragmentation is never necessary except in
unusual circumstances, and I'm not sure what the process is for CCR.
Without doing the research, I'm going to guess that you can run the offline
defragmentation on both nodes, or you can run it on the primary node and
then reseed the secondary node. In either case, you're talking about a
maintenance outage.
